UNdacted

Yes, the film Redacted is about an actual American crime in Iraq. But why focus on this crime that is only known because we punish such rare crimes by our troops? Why not make a film about the routine war crimes of our enemies that the enemy celebrates with their own online snuff films?

Sure, those guys might hunt you down and kill you and your family for speaking truth to terror, so perhaps it is safer not to point out their depravity.

But why not make a film about rape that United Nations troops conduct on a routine basis? They're a safe target. Heck, they don't do anything about anybody. No fear of retribution there, right? And you could show poor Third World victims of actual uniformed soldiers!

Why indeed? It's almost like our Hollywood industry chooses which crimes to highlight based on who they hate the most?
