The Hope and Change Make It Better!

We're bombing ISIL in Syria because we want to kill jihadis. Nobody here on the left seems to complain too loudly about that, even though it effectively helps a bloody dictator, Assad.

Yet during the Bush 43 administration when Assad was funneling jihadis into Iraq to kill American troops, Coalition troops, Iraqi forces, and Iraqi civilians, our left side of the aisle was apoplectic at even the thought of bombing jihadis inside Syria.

Syria protested such a notion back then. Now they want a formal deal for the same thing.

Life is funny.

UPDATE: The hope and change make it okay to arm odious thug states, too!
