Defending Yourself is Really Kind of Aggressive

China is upset that Japan keeps getting in China's way when China tries to push Japan around.

The thugs in Peking really do think the world revolves around them and what they want:

China called on Japan on Thursday to stop sending jets up against Chinese aircraft after Japan said it had scrambled its fighters twice as often in the past year amid a territorial dispute. ...

"We all know that when it comes to the Diaoyu Islands issue Japan has been continuously taking provocative actions to raise tensions. This is the root cause of the present very tense situation over the islands," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying told a daily news briefing.

That's really quite a priceless revelation on China's thinking process. China's increased aerial presence over the disputed islands isn't the problem--Japan's defensive response to China's aerial probes is the problem.

China is lucky Japan doesn't have nukes. But with this type of attitude coming out of Peking, I wouldn't count on Japan remaining a non-nuclear power forever.
