About 200 militants crossed into Pakistan's rugged northwest from Afghanistan on Wednesday and attacked a security checkpost, killing one policeman, police said, and a television station put the death toll at seven.
It is unclear whether they were Afghan or Pakistani Taliban.
Apparently, we're doing well enough in harming the Pakistan sanctuary that Afghanistan-based jihadis feel the need to assist the "rear area" of the Afghanistan Taliban. Although to be fair, this is really a Taliban Campaign that spans the border rather than just an Afghanistan or Pakistan war.
If we have really turned the corner on the Afghan campaign, it may be that our role will in time (over years) evolve into controlling the Afghan side of the border to help Pakistan battle their own Taliban.
