The Iranians are willing to talk--they've always been willing to chat since that buys them time to develop nuclear weapons--but the Iranians have ideas about the subject of those talks that run contrary to the hopes of the Obama administration:
A senior adviser to Iran’s president says dialogue with the US will succeed only if the Obama administration accepts Tehran’s right to have a nuclear programme.
So while President Obama wishes to talk to the mullahs about ending Iranian programs that could lead to nuclear weapons, the Iranians rule out such talks as a practical matter. The Iranians only wish to talk about how the United States will accept the Iranian position.
Ah, the joys of talking to nut jobs! This will work so much better than trying to defeat them!
