The Screed of James Lileks, which is supposed to end hiatus soon, provided Lileks a forum to vent on foreign policy. I loved the screed. Like a rant with a tuxedo, I liked to think. And spats--whatever they are. I aspired to screediness.
So when I read this Bleat, I had to ask, if this is a bleat and not a screed, I can hardly wait for the screeds on Murtha and Ahmadinejad (to name two at random in need of screediness).
It distills my utter contempt for the planners nicely. Planning isn't bad, I concede. But we must plan our cities with the planners we have and not the planners we wish to have. So minimize the planners based on this design guy.
Of course, if the designers can plan my commute with a higher Parker Posey content, I'm sold!
