Starting Fresh

Kazakhstan wants to change its name. Good idea.

The suffix "stan" has unfortunate connotations. Whatzitstan. Whositstan. If you don't care or don't know about the country, it has "stan" after it, as their president noted:

“The name of our country has the ending ‘stan,’ as do the other states of Central Asia,” he said Thursday. “At the same time, foreigners show interest in Mongolia, whose population is just 2 million people, and its name lacks the suffix ‘stan.’

Yeah. That's the problem. The name.

Kazakholia seems off. So to rid themselves of their pariah status among the "stans," they shall rename their country "The Redskins."

Now, we're talking respect.

UPDATE: Thanks to Stones Cry Out for the link. Glad to help continue the lighter note.
