The Plane! The Plane!

The NATO planes! They cannot identify Khaddafi's forces! Why?

Because the Libyan loyalists have adapted to our air power and conceal their identity from pilots trying to distinguish between loyalists and rebels or civilians. Says the commander of the Charles de Gaulle carrier air wing:

The commander of the carrier's air wing, identifying himself only as Herve, says "there is obviously a degree of savoir-faire on the part (of Gadhafi's forces) that we haven't seen before." [emphasis added]

Ah, it seems that the loyalist ground forces have mastered the military art of "savoir-faire." I believe that is covered in FM 3-0, Operations.

Oh God, we're doomed. There's another word, derived from French, that describes this war.

This is gonna be just great.

I want to win. Really, I do. If President Obama gets the credit, great! I'd rather he be encouraged to strike down enemies with military force, if necessary, rather than be discouraged. But nobody seems like they have both the determination and capabilities to win--other than Khaddafi, that is.
