I don't actually worry that President Obama will order drone strikes on Americans inside America instead of arresting them.
But the administration has brought this worry on themselves by trying to make what is a simple war issue that allows us to kill even American citizens who wage war on us just like they are any other foreign person waging war on us, and trying to make overseas drone strikes on Americans who wage war on us justified under domestic law enforcement standards.
Call the administration on their stupidity. Don't raise the level of stupid.
UPDATE: This sounds about right (tip to Instapundit).
I don't worry that President Obama plans drone strikes instead of arrests on American soil. But Democrats who supposedly have such a higher moral plane (that they deployed during the Bush administration) couldn't back a resolution saying that the Senate didn't think the president could kill Americans on American soil? That was worth the price of admission to see.
Half a day later, the Justice Department released a letter saying that America did not have the power to simply kill Americans on American soil in a non-combat situation. I'm fine with that. Why was it so difficult to say quickly? The administration is overcomplicating war by conflating it with domestic law enforcement, and they shot themselves in the foot. They deserved it.
