Off the Firing Line

Christopher Hitchens has cancer.

Pat Archbold is praying for Hitchens in a lot of ways related to faith, in addition to praying for him to heal, though he doubts Hitchens would want the prayers. (Via Instapundit)

I'm praying for him, too, though my motives are far more utilitarian. Western civilization needs Hitchens on the line, figuratively shooting at those who'd destroy the West. I may not have much use for his attacks on Christianity, but I don't care about that. The West encompasses more than Christianity, and he defends the West like few others.

We need him. Say a prayer.
