From the Rest to the West

Japan, only sixty years ago, was a defeated enemy that was aggressive and lacked democracy.

Today, Japan will align itself with the West:


Japan is set to strengthen its international alliances by recognizing that it shares common values with NATO, Australia and New Zealand, a report said.


Patience does pay off. If we keep our wits about us, Iraq will become a net asset rather than the enemy it once was under Saddam.
