The European Union's disdain for democracy has been discussed at length. They will reportedly press ahead with the EU despite the wishes of French and Dutch voters.
I just want to ask one question. When dictators rig elections to show that 99.99% of voters want the cutthroat leader in power, is it a sign of more or less respect for democracy [Wait. I'm almost getting nostalgic for vote rigging dictators like Hugo Chavez and Saddam. At least they pretend that they need a majority of the voters.
