Dead Storm Rising

The Russians are unable to recognize good luck when it falls over on top of them.

Admiral Kuznetsov will return to sea in 2022:

Constant mechanical issues and breakdowns, combined with a lack of resources and poor facilities, have seriously affected its ability to rival its NATO counterparts, and its only combat deployment was far from perfect.

All of these issues mean Admiral Kuznetsov is seen more as a spectacle than a genuine threat, but it remains the Russian Navy's flagship, and Moscow is determined to hold on to it, with sea trials set for 2022, according to Russian state media.

Yes! The Russians rebuilt it! I really wanted them to fix that glorious example of Soviet shipbuilding excellence. Bounce the rubles!

When fate seemed to save Russia from the folly of fixing that tenement with a flight deck, I was a bit disappointed. I could only hope the Russians would celebrate the ship's huge tracts of ... flight deck.

But Russia has revived my spirits with their grim determination to put that floating ruble pit back in business! This is performance art I can applaud.
