Why, oh why, is France so often picked on by Islamist fanboys?
Many countries, especially in the democratic West, champion freedom of expression and allow publications that lampoon Islam’s prophet. So why is France singled out for protests and calls for boycotts across the Muslim world, and so often the target of deadly violence from the extremist margins?
One, I think America has been the real country singled out by jihadis for violence. Have we forgotten 9/11 so soon? Either of them? Although I admit that for routine hatred Israel tops the list.
But the bigger error is the title which purports to explain why France "incites"--as if Moslems are justifiably reacting to things France does--so much anger in the Moslem world.
What, pray tell, doesn't incite the Easily Excitable?

"Spark" is more accurate in describing the religious dry kindling in the Islamic world that explodes so easily. The problem isn't France. The problem is the Islamic world which needs to resolve their civil war to defeat the Islamists and finally discredit and marginalize them fully.
UPDATE: Although to be truly fair, Moslems themselves are the most numerous victims of jihadi terror and despotism.
