Poland hopes to lock in its defense ties with America despite Biden's apparent victory:
Polish President Andrzej Duda ratified a defence agreement with the United States on Monday that cements a greater U.S. troop presence in the country and he said Warsaw’s relations with Washington should not be affected by the U.S. election.
This will probably work given the sudden Democratic hatred of Russia and the public relations disaster the new Obama administration triggered by walking away from a defense project in Poland.
But then again, that 2009 policy was not reversed. And the socialist wing of the modern Democratic Party is stronger now. So perhaps I shouldn't be so confident that this defense agreement won't be cancelled next year.
