Intense clashes broke out Saturday between Syrian government troops and Turkish-led forces in northeast Syria, the country's state media and an opposition war monitor reported.
Turkey traded American-backed Kurds along their southeastern border restrained by the Kurdish-American alliance for their long-time foes Russia and Assad's Syria moving into the area to restore Syrian government authority.
And who will Russia back? Their old friend Assad or their new friend Erdogan?
Brilliant, all the way around.
