Force Multiplier

We will share our experience with India to help them build their own aircraft carriers:

The head of the U.S. Navy’s aircraft carrier design and engineering office is set to meet his Indian counterparts later this month to discuss the design of India’s next carrier, he told USNI News last week. ...

He characterized the talks as being in the formative stages, with the Indians still trying to determine what capabilities they’d want their carrier to have.

Helping India block China from breaking out into the Indian Ocean and points west is in our interest.

Watch out for China's anti-ship ballistic missiles. They aren't just our problem.

And if India develops the ability to project aero-naval power into the South China Sea, that's even better.

So call this a success of the Obama administration (that builds on Bush-era initiatives). Our foreign policy isn't all anvils and idiots.
