I can't find the section where the administration says we tried to stay in Iraq after 2011 but Maliki thwarted us. No, getting out of Iraq was a promise kept. It isn't a regret. It's a boast.
I also find it significant that on the page devoted to "Iraq" rather than the "veterans" issue, the "Continuing Support" section isn't about defending our gains in Iraq, but on spending for veterans issues.
As long as we are clear on the issue.
