Wishin' Accomplished

President Obama got so worked up over signing up 7 million people for Obamacare that he slipped into that annoying tone of voice that indicates, "please believe me even though nobody is believing anything I say right now." (Except those in his chosen audience of course.]

The president hopes that there won't be any more resistance and that only Koch deadenders will resist Obamacare now:

"This law is doing what it's supposed to do. It's working," Obama said, with Vice President Joe Biden standing at his side. "The debate over repealing this law is over. The Affordable Care Act is here to stay."

What? No banner?

Remember, this is a program they said was designed to allow people previously denied the ability to get insurance the chance to buy insurance--by compelling these people to buy insurance. Supporters said 40 million people were desperate for Obamacare to get insured. And they got 7 million in the sign up period after 4 years of preparation. This is really what victory looks like?

We'll see how many of the success stories in this statistic are people who already had insurance but lost their policies because of Obamacare, rather than newly insured people.

And we'll see if Obama's Insurance Freedom campaign is really over, with voters greeting Democrats with flowers in November. Democrats sure wish this will be true.
