Again?

If Syria has used chemical weapons again, I guess that means that they believe they've purchased as much time as they possibly can without giving up too much of their chemical arsenal.

Why hasn't this made the news?

Israel announced that it believes that Syria again used chemical weapons on March 27th, during two operations on the outskirts of Damascus.

This seems like kind of a big deal. If true, of course.

UPDATE: Another portion of Strategypage expands a bit:

The government is apparently using chemical weapons in small quantities, mainly as a psychological weapon to persuade civilians to accept government control. The two attacks outside Damascus caused only 15 deaths but the rebels apparently were able to obtain some physical evidence. The government denies any responsibility and accuses the rebels of making it all up.

The government now controls the areas that are alleged to have been hit with chemicals.

As a psychological weapon, that makes sense. Show the rebels that the Kerry-Lavrov deal didn't even end Assad's ability to gas them anytime Assad chooses to do so.

UPDATE: It makes the news:

Both sides in Syria's bloody civil war said Saturday that a rural village fell victim to a poison gas attack, an assault that reportedly injured scores of people amid an ongoing international effort to rid the country of chemical weapons.

Don't expect any outsiders to confirm who carried this out--or if it was carried out. It's even possible that weapons intended to seem like poison gas without being poison gas are being used just to get the terror aspect of chemical use into rebel minds to demoralize them.
