Of Betting and Horses

Fouad Ajami  (tip to Mad Minerva) writes that the killing of Osama bin Laden highlights his own quote about whether people will bet on the strong or weak horse. America is clearly the strong horse in this analogy.

I won't enter into the debate about whether Moslems will believe we are the strong or weak horse now. But I can conclude that Osama is the dead horse. Never bet on a dead horse over any other horse--weak or strong.
