A friend sent the picture. I don't know the source. It is from 1918 in Iowa and is composed of 18,000 Army officers and men. The caption on the right reads:
Human Statue of Liberty
18,000 officers and men
at
Camp Dodge, Des Moines IA
Col. Wes Newman, Commanding
Col. Rush S. Wells, Directing
Defending liberty for 233 years, your United States Army.
Damn proud to have been associated with such a fine organization.
