Back When All Things Were Considered

A brief interview with a New Yorker reporter about how Zarqawi could personify a link between Iraq and al Qaeda:

I would say at this point, the information the US intelligence community has--it's more than just coincidence or it's more than just a matter of ships passing in the night. These seem to be very deliberate meetings with well-organized agendas whose goal is to develop a serious relationship between these two sides.


And between Iran and al Qaeda, for that matter.

When you honestly look back on the debate in the decade before the March 2003 invasion, it is enlightening to see who made the same arguments that President Bush has made and which are now called his "lies."
