China will no longer consider death tolls and other relevant information about natural disasters to be state secrets, an official said Monday, saying the move was aimed at boosting government transparency.
When you read this do you think that this is really great and the Chinese are to be commended?
Or do you think that it is telling that the regime says that in this narrow field, starting now, the Chinese communist government will no longer lie to their own people or to the world?
Me? I don't think it is tremendous progress that the Chinese won't lie about flood tolls anymore. I wonder about the virtually infinite other areas where the communists have decided that lying should be continued as official state policy.
What a wonderful government, eh?
