Kata'ib Hezbollah (Hezbollah Brigades) said in a posting on its website its fighters carried out Monday's rocket strike on the Camp Loyalty base in Baghdad's eastern Baladiyat district.
The U.S. military has said only the Americans were killed when the base came under "indirect fire," the term it uses to refer to mortar or rocket fire. It was the biggest single loss of life for U.S. troops in Iraq in two years.
Even though this attack apparently was not related to Sadr, Sadr is the leading face of Iran's pawns. The bottom line is that as long as Sadr lives, he will provide a wedge for Iran to intervene in Iraq.
Sadr must die. He keeps trying to defeat us and we keep letting him survive his attempts. Does he really get to keep trying until he succeeds? Is that how we're playing the game? If so, we'll lose. Especially if we really do pull our troops out of Iraq this year.
