Now Assets are Heading to Libya

We are moving military assets toward Libya to help evacuate our people in light of unrest in that country.

The British have already pulled out some of their people from Tripoli.

UPDATE: Nothing is actually heading in:

In recent days both the U.S. embassy and British embassy in Libya have removed non-essential staff from their embassies.

A specialized Marine unit based in Moron, Spain, is in the process of being repositioned closer to Libya; and in Stuttgart, Germany, a special operations force assigned to AFRICOM has been placed on heightened alert.

Neither team has moved yet.

Excuse me for being cynical, but in light of Benghazi hearings that asked why US forces weren't sent to Benghazi during those jihadi attacks, will these forces take their sweet time getting in position to justify inaction on the night of September 11-12, 2012?

Obviously, we don't need to rush right now so speed isn't key. But 8 months ago was a different story.
