A year after their intervention with our backing, the Ethiopians continue to battle jihadi clans in Somalia.
I'll admit that I am surprised that Ethiopian troops remain to fight the jihadis. While I don't think many Ethiopians are in Somalia, I figured once the Ethiopians broke the back of the Islamic Courts Movement that the locals could handle the remaining jihadis, leaving Ethiopia free to leave in a few months time.
Ethiopia remains, with her troops doing good work in busting up the jihadis whose tribal tactics can't match Ethiopian training and organization. Clearly, logistics aren't a strain. There must not be very many Ethiopian troops in Somalia.
