"The enemies of Islam are facing a crushing defeat, which is beginning to manifest itself in the expanding crisis their economy is experiencing," said Gadahn, in a clip of the message distributed by the SITE Intelligence Group, a Washington-based monitor of militant Web sites.
"A crisis whose primary cause, in addition to the abortive and unsustainable crusades they are waging in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq, is their turning their backs on Allah's revealed laws, which forbid interest-bearing transactions, exploitation, greed and injustice in all its forms."
Gadahn, 29, grew up in Riverside County, east of Los Angeles. He was indicted by a federal grand jury in Santa Ana in 2005 and charged with one count of treason and two counts of providing material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization.
Yes indeed, those cunning al Qaeda terrorists took out risky adjustable rate mortgages with zero-downpayment and then defaulted on them to bury us. Some probably delibarately blew their money on strippers and liquor so they'd have no money left for the banks--gosh they love their religion so much. Rumor has it that others who bought homes failed to perform proper maintenance and even let their lawns go unmowed to decrease property values. The sick bastards.
That whole "we're going to drive you from Iraq and the Middle East, establish a Moslem caliphate, and then destroy you" plan was just a diversion to the real plot to reduce our property values! The fiends! This is far more serious than their "Death to America" plan.
Seriously, when a terrorist organization is reduced to claiming credit for an unrelated financial problem, they are truly rocked back on their heels. An organization capable of hurting us wouldn't beclown themselves by making idiotic claims. I know some in America think that the cost of winning in Iraq is a crushing burden on our $13 trillion economy. So sadly that traitor is giving a talking point will resonate here. But it is ridiculous.
Pretty soon al Qaeda will be boasting that our knuckles are bloodied and bruised from pounding them in the face for so long.
Just keep killing them. Pathetic and impotent killers just need our laxity to become successful mass murderers. Their motives and goals aren't changed--just their ability to carry out their goals.
