We Can Still Hate Communists

Sadly, communism is simply a marketing angle for some who overlook the tens of millions who died and the countless others who suffered because of this hideous ideology. Italy's communists remind us that they are still a murderous bunch constrained only by lack of opportunity:

An article on L’Opinione reports (in Italian) that anti-globalization and communist groups based in Italy, among which is the infamous “anti-imperialist camp” (that collecting “Euros for the Iraqi resistance”) coordinated with Islamic terrorists in Iraq to attack our troops in Nassiryiah. The Italian intelligence heard phone conversations in which the red fundamentalists instructed the Islamists about how and when to kill our soldiers. It seems that the attack was organized in order to pressure Mr. Prodi to speed the pullout from Iraq.

It must be pretty humiliating for Italy's communists to merely assist in the killing of a few Western soldiers when real communists slaughter in the tens of thousands even on a bad day.

But they do try, now don't they? Even if secular athiests have to work with religious fanatics (which I'm sure the nuance enhanced among us will assure us cannot happen), they do try to kill us still.

It is disgusting that communism can seem chic to some.
