No Mere Gesture

David Corn doesn't like Bolton's nomination as our ambassador to the UN. The headline says "Bush Gives the UN the Finger."

I have to disagree. This was not merely a gesture of futile defiance in order to feel good. This was all four fingers and a thumb clenched in a fist aimed at that body of thugs.

We will change the UN and we will use the UN to hammer Iran and North Korea. And others needing a good hammering, too.

Now we're talking diplomacy, eh?
