Unprecedented Meddling?

Iran created and supports Hezbollah in Lebanon which is a state-within-a-state that destabilizes the Lebanese government and carries out a foreign policy designed by Iran. So one can only admire the chutzpah of Iran complaining that Saudi Arabia is "meddling" in Lebanon's internal politics.

Okaay:

Iran's President Hassan Rouhani criticized Saudi Arabia on Wednesday over what he called "unprecedented" interference in Lebanese affairs, adding his voice to those who suspect the Gulf kingdom forced Lebanon's prime minister to resign.

Not that Iran doesn't have a point about what Saudi Arabia is doing in the widely spread Iran-Saudi quasi war. But I worry that Saudi meddling in Lebanon will be swamped by Iranian control and military power within Lebanon.

Egypt has publicly backed Saudi Arabia:

Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi said Wednesday that Iran must stop "meddling" in the Middle East and the security of Arab Gulf countries must not be threatened, but he underscored that he does not want war and believes dialogue can resolve the region's crises.

If the Saudis were better at the information warfare game, they'd be highlighting every day how Iran is willing to fight "Israel" to the last Arab, whether in Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Gaza, or Yemen.

Or we could do it, as I've complained before.
