Let the Punishment Fit the Crime

There seems to be a move to not imprison Bowe Bergdahl--if convicted--for his "desertion and misbehavior before the enemy" in Afghanistan, because he was imprisoned by the Taliban for 5 years before being traded by our government for 5 Taliban commanders.

The notion that Bergdahl has been punished enough is ridiculous.

Bergdahl was punished by the Taliban for his stupidity in thinking our enemies were just misunderstood victims.

It is up to our military to punish Bergdahl for desertion and misbehavior before the enemy.
