U.S.-led coalition air strikes destroyed an Islamic State operating base at a stadium near Ramadi that was a key supply hub used to store weapons and explosives, the U.S. military said on Wednesday.
Did we destroy it? Or did we soften it up for an air assault?
I only ask because at one point when the Iraqis first tried to re-take Tikrit last summer from ISIL, they launched an air assault into a stadium to use it as a base.
And Lord knows, it's about time to see some progress in the Ramadi offensive.
Wow. What thin evidence that is, eh?
God, I'm so pathetically desperate to see any sign of imminent rapid progress in Iraq.
