Ledeen has much in this article:
- There is more on Iran's human rights violations.
- More on unrest in Iran.
- More on the purges showing that even the Pasdaran (Revolutionary Guards) aren't necessarily reliable pillars of the regime.
- More on Iranian support for terrorists inside Iraq.
- More on the continuing saga of European failure to get Iran to halt nuclear progress.
I think we will deal with Iran. The Strategic Petroleum Reserve is almost full. But the President does not want to call for a revolt inside Iran that we can't yet support. I believe the President will publicly support the regime opposition when we are prepared to back our words with concrete action.
And we need to act. I have no confidence that our intelligence can tell us with any certainty that Iran is X number of years away from nukes. They just aren't that good. Iran has already bought a couple years of time from those gullible Europeans. Has it been enough?
Or will we act in time?
