Damn the Survivability Level. Full Speed Ahead!

Is our plan for the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) to make them more more survivable and lethal expensive but not significantly more survivable?

I hadn't heard the nickname "Little Crappy Ship" before. Wonderful.

UPDATE: The LCS is dead. Long live the frigate. Well, that solves that problem, eh?
