Climate change may be the world's "most fearsome" weapon of mass destruction and urgent global action is needed to combat it, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Sunday, comparing those who deny its existence or question its causes to people who insist the Earth is flat.
One, Kerry can kiss my flat buttocks. John Kerry striking a pose of scientific literacy superiority is a bit much for me to take seriously.
Two. Kerry must actually be serious. I haven't heard him this worked up over a WMD threat since September when he railed against Bashar Assad of Syria and insisted we had to strike without delay to combat the WMD threat.
Hitler reference. Check.
Munich and appeasement. Check. And check.
So I assume that Kerry will threaten unbelievably small carbon credits and that he will negotiate a Kerry-Carbon accord that degrades Carbon's capacity to destroy the planet.
Heck of a job, Kerry! Nice to see you took care of all of the foreign policy challenges in your "in box." Syria, especially, is working out swell under your guidance.
Seriously, I'm still way more worried about car bomb footprints.
