Hope, Change, and 26,000 Bombs

Thank God President Obama "responsibly ended" our wars he inherited under the influence of the healing balms of "hope and change" that granted us "smart diplomacy" rather than just dumping bombs on brown people, the way some unnamed past president enjoyed so much!

Wait. What?

In President Obama’s last year in office, the United States dropped 26,171 bombs in seven countries. This estimate is undoubtedly low, considering reliable data is only available for airstrikes in Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, and Libya, and a single “strike,” according to the Pentagon’s definition, can involve multiple bombs or munitions.

Add in more than 6,000 bombs that our allies dropped in Iraq and Syria alone in 2016.

This never gets old:

The Left was totally silent during the presidency of their man who has set a record by being the first president in our history to be at war during every day of the 8 years he sat in the Oval Office.

It's like radical Moslems didn't even listen to that wondrous presidential "outreach" speech in Cairo that was supposed to signal the departure of Bush 43 and the beginning of the era of Obama, thus ending jihadi reasons to kill us!

But rather than look at our most recent stretch of conflict against jihadis and accept the notion that we truly need to fight and kill our enemies because even under President Obama our jihadi enemies continued to kill Americans (among many others), I'm sure that our liberal brethren will no longer think that wars are cool--even those like Libya waged without any Congressional authorization at all.

Much as discussions of the plight of the homeless will resume after an 8-year lull, Democrats will discover the horrors of dropping bombs on brown people.

Time to dust off the giant puppets, wash the tie-died shirts, and rehearse the chants!

Anti-war protesting is back, baby! Any day now after the inauguration.
