No Red Cross Visits Allowed

Our press goes into full-blown screaming weenie mode if a soldier puts panties on the head of an enemy detainee. Haditha and Guantanamo Bay are of course daily stories.

So will our press and the like-minded Euros and human rights organizations think anything is wrong with this crime against two of our captured soldiers?

The bodies of two U.S. soldiers reported captured last week have been recovered, and an Iraqi official said Tuesday the men were "killed in a barbaric way." The U.S. military said the remains were believed to be those of Pfc. Kristian Menchaca, 23, of Houston, and Pfc. Thomas L. Tucker, 25, of Madras, Ore.

Unlike any wrongdoing we find out about, this was no accident or isolated crime that we will correct and make sure the guilty parties are punished. The enemy boasted of their crime:

We give the good news ... to the Islamic nation that we have carried God's verdict by slaughtering the two captured crusaders," said the claim which appeared on an Islamic militant Web site where insurgent groups regularly issue statements.

"With God Almighty's blessing, Abu Hamza al-Muhajer carried out the verdict of the Islamic court" calling for the soldiers' slaying, the statement said.

Our enemies deserve to die. When will our press and Left get over their idealization of their beloved "insurgents?"
