Esperar. ¿Qué?

Say, when did George W. Bush regain the presidency? Because that's the only way this Venezuelan Foreign Minister denunciation makes sense:

"Every time we're about to isolate and reduce the violence, Mr. Kerry comes out with a declaration and immediately the street protests are activated," Foreign Minister Elias Jaua said in a speech carried on state TV.

"Mr. Kerry, we denounce to the whole world, you encourage the violence in Venezuela ... We denounce you as a murderer of the Venezuelan people."

He "denounces" Kerry? Is that like getting voted off the island?

I'm just not sure what Jaua is getting at. You'd think activity like murdering people would be seared in our Secretary of State's memory.

So what gives? I thought 5 years of smart diplomacy would erase the damage that cowboy Bush did to our relationships abroad. Weren't we told it was Bush's fault if other countries didn't like us?

And now this?

Perhaps our newest best and brightest in the White House will gain the understanding that sometimes the people who hate America are just asshats.
