Ratman is a DC Character

I was going to address the misleading ABC "fact check" about Trump's statement on money Obama sent to Iran. The magical provisioning of "context" is always used to show how a Republican is wrong and a Democrat is really pretty correct all things considered.

But then these guys (tip to Instapundit) addressed a remarkably similar CNN piece and so I figured why get my blood pressure up needlessly?

The fact is, we sent a lot of money to Iran that we did not have to send to Iran. Iran could not compel America to send the money even if we were ever to be judged wrong on the law. That was Obama's choice in his insane plan to make mullah-run Iran a friend.

And Iran used the money to kill people.

Remember, as we argue about how much of the windfall Iran received to wage war and promote terrorism, that the Obama administration said Iran couldn't afford to divert any of that cash from domestic economic projects. They were that stupid. Or that willing to mislead us.

Although I should consider embracing the healing power of "and."

The Iranians sent out the Rat Signal as they launched missiles and our legacy-defending Ratman suited up and scrambled into action with the old gang.

As I noted early last year, the lying group of Obama staffers have gotten back together to protect Iran, and we should ignore their every utterance.

And you must admit, Kerry is just the man to wear the spandex in this coterie of craven lickspittles.

UPDATE: This is what I'm talking about (tip to Instapundit):

In the modern era, it is difficult to come up with an administration that has spent as much energy trying to sabotage its successor in office. Obama Administration officials have worked tireless to embed themselves into media outlets as supposedly objective voices.

After Donald Trump oversaw the killing of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani and as missiles fell from the night sky into Iraq from Iran, those voices took to the airwaves to push the Obama line against President Trump. In the American media, with help from former Obama staffers, Trump was the bad guy and Iran was the good guy. Iran de-escalated tensions. Trump made things worse.

Don't listen to them. Seriously, Obama's foreign policy people couldn't pour water out of a boot if the instructions were written on the heel.

UPDATE: Orange Man Bad-thinking is causing some Democrats to lose their minds over Iran. I've said that Iran's attacks on us didn't cause a rally around the flag effect here in America among the left. Perhaps I was just wrong to assume I knew which flag they might rally around.
