Are You Effing Kidding Me?

Now we know why the pretend deal with Iran on their nuclear ambitions relied on secret IAEA side deals outside of the pseudo-deal:

According to [IAEA director general Yukiya] Amano, due to new U.N. Security Council and IAEA resolutions, the agency will only monitor and verify Iran’s compliance with its JCPOA commitments and will no longer provide broad reporting on its nuclear program. A December 15, 2015, IAEA Board of Governors resolution directed the organization to cease reporting on Iran’s compliance with its Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty obligations and past Security Council resolutions because the Board of Governors is no longer seized of this matter.

This also means that even though a December 2, 2015, IAEA report raised several serious unresolved questions about Iran’s nuclear weapons–related activities, the IAEA will no longer report on this issue because its Board of Governors closed the file on the possible military dimensions of Iran’s nuclear program.

But it gets worse. Not only are the new IAEA reports much narrower in focus, they also omit important data on how Iran is complying with the nuclear deal itself.

I was concerned about the pseudo-deal's required report on Iran's past nuclear programs as rumors popped up and when the report appeared.

But as I've long said, the terms of this deal between the Obama administration and Iran have long been clear: Iran will pretend not to have nuclear weapons ambitions; and we will pretend to believe them.

I really must be stupid. Or something. Because this is actually stunning to me when I know that Secretary of State Spongespine Spandexpants is on the job.

How can the Iranian nutballs fail to believe God is on their side when the "Great Satan" is so cooperative?

UPDATE: While joint US-South Korean military drills aren't really related to this (well, other than as a view of what a post-nuclear deal Iran will have in regard to nukes), North Korea's response fills me with envy:

The North's military said it was prepared to counter the U.S. and South Korean forces "with an ultra-precision blitzkrieg strike of the Korean style".

"The revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK holding tightly the arms to annihilate the enemies with towering hatred for them are waiting for the dignified Supreme Command to issue an order to launch a preemptive strike of justice," it said in comments carried by the state KCNA news agency.

I would pay good money to hear the State Department issue a statement like this in regard to any of our enemies' actions.
