Last Chance

If President Obama can't leverage his failure to "meddle" in Iran's internal affairs into a deal in which Iran abandons--with verification--their nuclear weapons programs (or won't do the job better), the Israelis will strike Iran's nuclear infrastructure.

I figured the main efforts would be through Turkey, an ally of Israel, and Saudi Arabia, an enemy of Iran.

There is a report that Saudi Arabia has given the green light to Israel:

"The Saudis have tacitly agreed to the Israeli air force flying through their airspace on a mission which is supposed to be in the common interests of both Israel and Saudi Arabia," a diplomatic source said last week.

The Israelis may not be able to do the job as well as we can, but if we prove unwilling to do the job, the Israelis will since they are the biggest target for Iran.

Maybe Iran can be deterred--but Israel would be wise not to count on it.
