Nuclear Threshold Kabuki Theater

Ah, nuclear diplomacy! The Iranians pretend to not want nukes. And we pretend to believe the Iranians.

So even when the inspector's find something, the Iranians can just clam up and that's pretty much the end of it

The United Nations’ atomic watchdog said Monday that Iran has failed to explain the presence of "traces of uranium found at several undeclared sites," Reuters reported.

Oh, and this is hilarious:

Iran's failure to explain the uranium traces found at the three undisclosed sites could throw a wrench into the nuclear talks underway in Vienna, Reuters noted.

Note that the issue isn't just uranium traces but three undisclosed sites!

Sure, Iran's failure to explain could stop a deal by indicating that perhaps Iran isn't so innocent of wanting nukes as they tell us.

But it won't. Not with the mullah-loving fanboys and fangirls in charge of--and reporting on--our policy toward Iran.

UPDATE: Democratic determination to favor Iran is mind boggling.
