Collateral Damage in Europe

The European Union's priority during the Xi Jinping Flu pandemic has not been protecting the people.

She said that out loud?

[European Commission President] Ursula von der Leyen defended her under-fire vaccination strategy, which has been hit by supply delays and lags far behind the rollout of jabs in Britain, Israel and the US.

She said that the EU strategy of negotiating as a bloc had ensured that smaller member states had access to the jabs and at cheaper prices. Without the collective bargaining, she claimed, the EU would have collapsed amid infighting and resentment.

The collective vaccination strategy the EU implemented is under fire. Europeans see it as too slow compared to other countries. Inconveniently, Britain is doing much better.

But that's okay according to the EC president. Because the real danger was EU collapse if individual countries had worked on their own local needs. And since the EU still stands despite the slow vaccination process, mission accomplished!

No crisis can be wasted to strengthen the EU. In lucid moments, even fans of the EU admit that it is an imperial project.

Can the EU make it any more clear that the existence and strengthening of the EU is its highest priority? "Ever closer union" must not slow down. Ever. Mere subjects are acceptable collateral damage.

So a lot like the Chinese Communist Party in that matter of preserving power, eh?

Never forget that when EU elites speak of "Europe" they really mean the "European Union." Do not become confused. The former is good. The latter is the path to evil.
