The French are very nuanced. I'm starting to think that word translates into English as "annoying":
French President Emmanuel Macron criticized the US and urged Europe to forge its own path forward in its collective defense against Russia, according to reports.
In a speech to French ambassadors, he warned that increased nationalism is driving the US to abandon its European allies.
"The partner with whom Europe built the new post-World War order appears to be turning its back on this shared history," he said.
The French, who ejected NATO from French territory in 1966 and only rejoined the military command in 2009 long after American-led NATO defeated the Soviet Union and watched it collapse, have the freaking nerve to accuse a reengaged America that is restoring military capabilities in Europe of turning its back on Europe?
The French are still cheese-eating surrender monkeys, apparently, who are promoting the EU as an alternative to NATO.
Although perhaps there is a reason Macron would prefer to be just a province within an imperial European Union that can overcome French resistance to change (ah yes, "I love you--please change").
Macron should remember that the shared history he claims to value only became one of freedom and democracy because of American post-World War II influence, which France would destroy by pimping for the proto-imperial EU state.
