Not that this is a funny issue.
But it sure is funny how the New York Times bends reality to shield Hillary Clinton (tip to Instapundit):

Do read it all, as the expression goes. Secretary of State Clinton granted our enemies a massive gift of signals intelligence with her private email account.
And the extent to which her minions in the press go to minimize and hide the damage is horrifying.
UPDATE: While the existence of the personal server that bypassed government security processes is itself the smoking gun, Hillary Clinton was not a passive victim of other people sending classified information:
Hillary Clinton wrote 104 emails that she sent using her private server while secretary of state that the government has since said contain classified information, according to a new Washington Post analysis of Clinton’s publicly released correspondence.
And note how the writer still tries to shield Clinton:
The finding is the first accounting of the Democratic presidential front-runner’s personal role in placing information now considered sensitive into insecure email during her State Department tenure. [emphasis added]
The information was sensitive at the time it was sent. It is nonsense to say that this investigation is retroactively declaring once-innocent emails to be sensitive. The fact is, nobody in our government had the chance to label the sensitive information as such until now--because Hillary bypassed that process!
Is Hillary's defense really going to be that she can't be held accountable for sensitive information on her server being vulnerable to our enemies because her private system did not allow the government security system to process that information? Really?
And reporters are going to back that nonsense?
UPDATE: Perhaps the question now is just how far will the Obama administration go to shield Hillary Clinton from prosecution. Someone is talking:
Former Hillary Clinton IT specialist Bryan Pagliano, a key witness in the email probe who struck an immunity deal with the Justice Department, has told the FBI a range of details about how her personal email system was set up, according to an intelligence source close to the case who called him a “devastating witness.”
Remember, the simple existence of the private email system is gross negligence regarding securing our communications. Then add in how the system was used and what was in it to bounce the rubble.
Who else involved will decide to talk in exchange for immunity? Or will the Clinton code of silence hold?
Quite the prisoner's dilemma for the non-Clintons.
