You Didn't Shoot That

On the heels of the "you didn't build that" faux pas that showed our president and his party firmly against individual responsibility, can there be any shock that when an individual uses a firearm to shoot somebody, that our left's instinct is collectivist in nature--to reassure the killer (now dead at his own hands now, of course) that "you didn't shoot that"?

Really, this can be no surprise:

Rasmussen has just published a major poll on US voter attitudes towards socialism. It reveals that Democrats are evenly divided in their views on socialism, with 45 percent viewing it favourably, and 45 percent negatively. This is a strikingly high level of support for socialist ideology within a political party in the United States (and the ruling party at that), and strongly suggests that Democrats are increasingly moving towards a continental-European style approach to economic issues, advancing a big government agenda that resembles that of European Social Democratic governments.

Fascinating. What really worries me is how many of the 45% with a negative view actually think mere European socialism doesn't go far enough and that they'd rather have hard communism?
