Let's Ponder the Alternate Explanation

Stop worrying about Iran, the administration says, via a White House National Security Council spokesman:

"We believe that there is time and space to continue to pursue a diplomatic path, backed by growing international pressure on the Iranian government," the spokesman said. "We continue to assess that Iran is not on the verge of achieving a nuclear weapon."

Heck, we continue to assess that Iran hasn't even made the decision to develop nuclear weapons!

So, our administration believes that Iran accepts increasingly harsh economic and financial sanctions (according to our administration) and risks a war with America or Israel in order to pursue cheap and clean nuclear energy.

Ponder that.
