What is God Doing?

Stephen Hawkings weighs in on God:

"Because there is a law such as gravity, the universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the universe exists, why we exist," Hawking writes.

"It is not necessary to invoke God to light the blue touch paper and set the universe going."

This torques me off. If God didn't create the universe, what the heck has he been doing all this time? Laying on the couch, eating Cheetos, and playing HALO?

He had but one job--create a universe where we can exercise free will to be good people. But did he do that? No.

Ne'er-do-well! Layabout!
