Silent But Deadly

My Jane's email update should have the Iranians and North Koreans nervous as they relish the thought of scaring us with their planned nukes:

Teams from the US Air Force (USAF), Northrop Grumman and Boeing-led weapon contractors have verified that the 30,000 lb Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) guided bomb and its associated aircraft-mounted support equipment can be installed in the weapon bays of the Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit bomber. Conducted on 28 April, but not announced until 21 July, the trial was conducted at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, using the B-2 Weapons Load Trainer, a device that simulates the interior size and shape of the aircraft's weapon bays, and a mock-up of the MOP[.]

My hope is that North Korea implodes before we need to use this weapon system.

But I think we'll have the chance to use them on Iran. I just don't believe any open hand will convince the nutballs in Tehran to abandon nuclear weapons.
